Pine Lasses top Dragons for first victory of season
Raquel Malacas doubled and tripled during a 3-for-3 day, driving in three runs and scoring four to help lead the Lanai High School softball team to a 15-4, five-inning victory over Hana on Friday in Hana.
Geraldine Olomua added a home run for the Pine Lasses, who improved to 1-2 in Maui Interscholastic League play.
Lanai pitcher Leah Vidad struck out eight while allowing four runs on three hits, four walks and a hit batter.
The Dragons fell to 0-3.
