Spartans start title defense with win over Warriors

Seabury Hall dropped just five games in defeating Kamehameha Maui 5-0 in Pukalani on Friday, the first day of the Maui Interscholastic League tennis season.

The Spartans, who last year won their third straight team championship, got 6-0, 6-0 victories from Stone Miles at No. 2 singles, Jacob Keyser at No. 3 singles, and J.D. Pells and James Kim at No. 2 doubles.

In girls play, Seabury Hall edged Kamehameha Maui 3-2.
