Lenny sets new standard
First photo: Kai Lenny makes his way to the finish line en route to winning the foil division in the 22nd annual Molokai-2-Oahu Paddleboard World Championships with a time of 2 hours, 52 minutes, 58 seconds on Sunday. It was the first time the 32-mile race from Kalua Koi to Maunalua Bay Beach Park included a foil division, and the Spreckelsville native set the standard for the division. Lenny was reportedly clocked traveling at 15 to 18 knots at different points during the race.
Second photo: In the stand-up paddleboard race, Connor Baxter of Pukalani finished second to Australian Travis Grant with a time of 4:38:39. Grant took the race with a time of 4:23:15. For full race results, see Valley Isle Scoreboard.
