Monarchs win title in dramatic fashion

Trailing 9-7 in the bottom of the seventh inning, the Monarchs loaded the bases after their first two batters flied out. Motooka cleared the bases with a deep fly ball over the Onipaa center fielder’s head to give the Monarchs the title. Other champions crowned Thursday were Aikane (A division), Kona Legends (B division), Honomu Rockets (C division), Pueo (D division), East Kauai Legends (F division), Na Pueo (G division) and Kupuna Pride (H division).
