• GOLF

Saturday–The Credit Unions of Maui is hosting its fifth annual Charity Golf Tournament at Kahili Golf Course on Aug. 11. The tournament, which benefits the Maui Memorial Medical Center Foundation, will be a two-person team modified scramble with a two-putt maximum and 8 a.m. shotgun start. The cost per player is $150 (with a 144 player limit). Sponsorships for the tournament are still available. For more information, contact Kelly Tobita at 446-8433.

Aug. 12–The King Kamehameha Golf Club and the Kimokeo Foundation will be hosting the E Malama Golf Tournament on Aug. 12. The tournament, a benefit for the Pacific Cancer Foundation and Hui O Wa’a Kaulua, will be a four-person scramble which will include a commemorative cap, prizes, buffet lunch, entertainment and helicopter golf ball drop. The field is limited to 144 players. Play begins a 7 a.m. The fee is $150 per player. For more information, call 249-0033 or visit pacificcancerfoundation.org.

Sept. 8–The Seabury Hall Alumni Association will host the 24th annual Seabury Hall Golf Tournament on Sept. 8 at the Wailea Golf Club’s Emerald Course. The two-player team scramble begins at 7:45 a.m. The tournament includes a contental breakfast before the tournament and an awards luncheon at Gannon’s Restaurant following play. The entry fee is $195 for a single player and $390 for a two-player team. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Proceeds support scholarships, Seabury Hall athletics and alumni programs. • MARTIAL ARTS

Saturday–The Kaua O Ke Koa Open Invitational Martial Arts Tournament is scheduled for Aug. 11 at War Memorial Gym in Wailuku. The tournament registration is set for 8 a.m., with the event set to start at 10 a.m. The registration fee is $30 for the first event and $10 for each additional event. There is a $500 grand champion prize in kumite. The spectator fee is $3. The event is being held as a tribute for local musician Willie K, who has been battling lung cancer. There will also be a pre-celebration banquet at 5 p.m. Friday at the Kings Cathedral student lounge. The cost is $12, $6 for children 6 years old and younger. Sept. 26-30–The High Powered Doubles Tennis Camp is scheduled for Sept. 26-30 at the Royal Lahaina Tennis Ranch. Instruction will be offered by 16-time Grand Slam winning doubles players Bob and Mike Bryan, former Olympic coach Tom Gullickson as well as other top coaches. The camp is open to players ranked from 4.0 to 5.5. Camp fees, which include accommodations for four nights at the Royal Lahaina Resort, is $3,595 for double occupancy and $3,895 for single occupancy.
