Dragons sweep Na Pueo for fourth win

Serene Perry recorded 10 digs and four aces to help the Hana High School girls volleyball team sweep Maui Prep for the second straight day Saturday at the Lahainaluna gym.

Atasha Paman-Manrique had a team-high five kills as the Dragons earned a 25-18, 25-10, 25-16 win to improve to 4-2 in Maui Interscholastic League play.

Shya Roback had four kills and four aces, Shasta Kalalau and Fushia Pua each put down four kills, and Shaylee Roback dished out 18 assists to go with two aces for Hana.

Kiana Villamar led Na Pueo (0-5) with 11 digs.

At Paia Gym, Izabelle Palmore, Sekaya Verberg and Jade Borchers each had six kills to lead the Hawks (4-1) to a 25-17, 25-21, 25-22 sweep of the Pine Lasses (1-5).

Borchers added six aces, while Palmore had three aces. Mileina Sniffen and Verberg each had two aces.

SEABURY HALL 3, ST. ANTHONY 0

At Wailuku Gym, Ella Connor had 10 kills as the Spartans (6-1) swept past the Trojans 25-13, 25-3, 25-18.

Isabel Bennet added seven kills and three digs, Malia Bennet had five digs, four aces and five kills, and Madee Dougherty and Chiemi Powell each had 13 assists for Seabury Hall.

St. Anthony fell to 2-5.

KAMEHAMEHA MAUI 3, MAUI HIGH 2

At Shine Matsui Athletic Center in Kahului, Tatiana Martinez had a team-high 13 kills and four blocks as the Warriors outlasted the Sabers 20-25, 25-22, 25-17, 21-25, 15-6.

Ale’a Cervantes put down nine kills to go with 13 digs for Kamehameha (4-3). Logan Spencer added seven kills and 12 digs, Sofia Stupplebeen had seven kills, Meleana Hoopii contributed 17 digs and five aces, Kayla Yamashita had 24 assists and four blocks, and Taylor Morita dished out 20 assists.

Maui High fell to 1-7.
