Kamehameha forfeits JV game to Lahainaluna

The junior varsity football game between Lahainaluna High School and Kamehameha Maui this week has been canceled, with the Warriors forfeiting the game to the Lunas.

The game, which had been scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Friday at Kanaiaupuni Stadium in Pukalani, was forfeited “due to unforseen circumstances,” Kamehameha athletic director Jon Viela said in a text to The Maui News on Wednesday.

The varsity game between the Lunas and Warriors is still set to be played as scheduled at 7 p.m. Friday.
