Lahainaluna boys pick up seven wins at Kamehameha meet

The Lahainaluna High School boys wrestling team won seven of 13 top-tier weight classes at Saturday’s Maui Interscholastic League round-robin meet at Kamehameha Maui in Pukalani.

The Lunas got wins from Kanoa Lanoza (126 pounds), Zeff Dudoit (132), Kawehi Gillcoat (138), Jacob Taguiam (145), Keaka Kuaana (160), Elijah Oliveira Kalalau (170) and Ty Bates (182).

Baldwin had five champions — Tobey Ravida (106), Roden Zyrus De Guzman (113), Colby Ravida (120), Billy Treu (152) and Benjamin Tokanang (285) — while Kamehameha had one in Darius Mynar (195).

The Bears won five of nine girls weight classes, getting victories from Liana Ferreira (102), Waipuilani Estrella Beauchamp (132), Jahnea Miguel (145), Shayna Kamaka (168) and Siera Vida (225).

Other winners were Lahainaluna’s Sami Saribay (107) and Alicia Frank (122), King Kekaulike’s Michaelah Vasquez (117) and Molokai’s Sunni Chow (155).
