Bears outlast Warriors in 11
The Baldwin High School baseball team won its 20th straight game Saturday night at Maehara Stadium to finish the regular season in the Maui Interscholastic League, but it was far from easy.
The Bears finished a 12-0 run through the MIL with a 7-3, 11-inning win over Kamehameha Maui. Mochi Dukelow, a little-used senior, drove in the run that tied the game at 3-3 in the top of the seventh with a single and then singled home the go-ahead run in the top of the 11th.
Haku Dudoit earned the win on the mound with two hitless innings of relief that included five strikeouts. Starter Ben Zeigler-Namoa, Cody Constantino and Dudoit combined to shut out the Warriors for the final nine innings.
Kamehameha Maui fell to 7-5. Tristan Catan and Micah Kele combined on a nine-hitter for the Warriors, striking out seven and walking four combined.
