Farmers top Pine Lasses to claim MIL D-II title, state tourney spot
Cahl Horner doubled and tripled to drive in three runs, and pitched a five-hitter to lead the Molokai High School softball team to a 15-5, five-inning win over Lanai in the Maui Interscholastic League Division II tournament championship game Friday on the Friendly Isle.
Cami Horner homered, tripled and drove in four runs for the Farmers (5-0), who swept all five games against the Pine Lasses this season to secure the MIL’s lone state berth — this year’s D-II state tournament will be at Patsy Mink Field in Kahului, May 1-4.
Lanai finishes the year 0-5.
