Sabers sweep Bears, move on to face Warriors
The Maui High School boys volleyball team advanced to the semifinals of the Maui Interscholastic League Division I tournament on Friday night with a sweep of Baldwin.
The fourth-seeded Sabers defeated the fifth-seeded Bears 25-14, 25-16, 25-19 and will take on top-seeded Kamehameha Maui in the first semifinal Monday at Baldwin’s Jon Garcia Gym in Wailuku.
Maui High improved to 5-8. The Bears end the season at 2-11.

Monday’s second semifinal pits Lahainaluna against King Kekaulike — the Lunas can clinch a state berth if they and Kamehameha win.
