Munetake earns No. 6 seed at Manoa Cup

Tyler Munetake of Wailuku earned the No. 6 seed in the match-play portion of the Manoa Cup open division with his even-par round of 71 on Monday at Oahu Country Club, and last year’s runner-up, Wailuku’s Justin Ngan, was also among the six Mauians to reach the field of 64.

Munetake had three birdies and three bogeys in his round, and will face 59th-seeded Justin Chan of Oahu Tuesday.

Ngan is seeded 20th after a round of 74, and will meet Wailuku’s Ryan Chang, who shot 79 and is seeded 45th.

Wailuku’s Chad Lee is seeded 33rd, and will go against No. 32 Nick Gerard of Oahu — they each shot 76.

Lahaina’s Adam Quandt (78), the No. 40 seed, will face Oahu’s Alex Kam (75), seeded 25th.

Kihei’s Lance Migita (81) is seeded 51st, and will face Oahu’s Nathan Viernes (74), seeded 14th.
