Police investigate Pukalani Chevron gunpoint robbery

Police are investigating a gunpoint robbery reported Wednesday night at Pukalani Chevron.

The robbery occurred at 8:57 p.m. at the business at 3425 Old Haleakala Highway.

A cashier reported that a female wearing a hoodie entered the store and pointed what appeared to be a handgun while demanding cash, said Lt. Micah Adams of the Criminal Investigation Division.

The robber left with an undisclosed amount of cash and was seen getting into the passenger seat of a waiting car — a white four-door sedan, he said.

The robber was described as possibly local and about 5 feet 5 inches tall with dark hair.

On Thursday, police recovered a vehicle matching the description of the getaway car in Kihei, Adams said.
