Sabers defeat Na Alii

Kainalu Tancayo ran for two touchdowns and threw a scoring pass to Torryn Kauhaahaa-Sulusi as the Maui High School football team defeated King Kekaulike 55-0 on Saturday at War Memorial Stadium in Wailuku.

With the victory — the first for Rodney Figueroa as the Sabers’ coach — Maui High made its game next week against Baldwin be for the Maui Interscholastic League first-round championship.

King Kekaulike (0-4) lost its 26th straight MIL game.
