MEXICO CITY (AP) — Michelle Wie of Honolulu finished fourth in the Lorena Ochoa Match Play on Sunday, losing 4 and 3 to Ariya Jutanugarn in the semifinals and then falling to Mi Jung Hur in a 22-hole consolation match.
Sei Young Kim defeated Jutanugarn 1 up for the title.
Wie was 5 up after 10 holes of the third-place match before Hur took five of the next seven holes.
Wie is still seeking her first win since the 2014 U.S. Women’s Open. Her first LPGA Tour title came at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational, then a stroke-play event, in 2009 in Guadalajara.
