OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. (AP) — Michelle Wie of Honolulu finished in a tie for 20th at the Women’s PGA Championship on Sunday, closing with a 2-over-par 73 to finish at 3-under 281, 10 shots behind the winner, Danielle Kang.
The score was Wie’s worst of the tournament. She had finished no worse than tied for fourth in four of her previous five events.
Kang birdied the final hole at Olympia Fields to win her first LPGA Tour title. Her final-round 68 gave her a total of 271.
“I just told myself it was my week. It was my day,” Kang said.
Defending champion Brooke Henderson (66) finished one shot back.
