Rainbow Wahine win ninth straight match

The University of Hawaii women’s volleyball team won its ninth consecutive match Friday, 25-20, 26-24, 25-11 over UC Santa Barbara at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu, setting up a matchup of teams with undefeated Big West records today.
McKenna Granato had 18 kills and eight digs for the Rainbow Wahine (11-5, 5-0 Big West), and Emily Maglio had nine. Norene Iosia had 32 assists, Savanah Kahakai finished with 11 digs, and Granato had eight.
The Rainbow Wahine finished the match with a .252 hitting percentage.
Lindsey Ruddins had 11 kills and nine digs for the Highlanders (3-14, 2-3), Annie Hasselmann had 20 assists and Emilia Petrachi had 21 digs.
Hawaii’s next match is at home today against Cal Poly, which is 15-2 overall, and 5-0 in conference play. The Mustangs have won 10 matches in a row.
