Aukai Kea blasted a walk-off, two-run homer in the 11th inning to give Honolulu a 2-0 victory over Peachtree City, Ga., in both teams’ opening game at the Little League World Series on Friday in Williamsport, Pa.

With one out in the bottom of the 11th, Mana Lau Kong was hit by a pitch before Kea sent a line drive over the wall in left field.

Kea also started the game on the mound, striking out 10 with one walk while allowing just two hits over 6 1/3 scorless innings. Kaolu Holt and Sean Yamaguchi completed the shutout for Honolulu.

Kea finished 2-for-6 from the plate, doubling in the seventh inning. Caleb Okada went 2-for-4.

Honolulu next faces Great Lakes champion Grosse Point Woods, Mich., on Sunday at 8 a.m. HST — the game will be televised on ABC. Grosse Point Woods defeated Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, 5-4 earlier Friday.
