Granato hits milestone in UH’s win over LBSU

McKenna Granato had 11 kills, becoming the 20th player in Rainbow Wahine history to reach 1,000 career kills, and the University of Hawaii women’s volleyball team rallied to beat Long Beach State 19-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-19 on Saturday in Long Beach, Calif.
Granato also recorded her 700th career dig, finishing with 12 for her 10th double-double of the season.
Norene Iosia added six kills, 15 digs, 18 assists, four aces and two blocks for the Rainbow Wahine, who improved to 16-7, 12-2 in Big West play.
Tyler Spriggs had 18 kills to lead Long Beach State (13-13, 5-8 Big West).
UH plays a nonconference game at Pepperdine on Tuesday before closing Big West play at home against UC Irvine and UC Davis on Nov. 15-16.
