Hawaiian to waive ticketing change fees to Big Island

The Maui News

Hawaiian Airlines is waiving reservation change fees for passengers holding tickets for travel to and from Hilo and Kona through May 13 because of the Kilauea volcano eruption.

Travelers will be permitted a one-time reservation change with a waiver of change fees if they purchased their tickets Friday or earlier, the airline announced.

Affected flights are those scheduled for travel from Thursday through May 13.

Changes must be made to the same class of service, origin and destination for new flights no later than May 20.

For changes to new flights after that date, the change fee will be waived but the applicable difference in fare will be collected, the airline said.

Normal refund rules will apply. Changes may be made by calling Hawaiian Airlines’ reservations department at (800) 367-5320.
