Get Dad away from TV for Father’s Day dinners, buffets

Sea House restaurant, located a beach-ball toss from pristine Napili Bay in West Maui, will honor Dads at meal services today from breakfast to lunch to happy hour and dinner.

“For Father’s Day, we’ll run a big T-bone as a special and not much else,” says Executive Chef Alex Stanislaw. “Because as we all know, on Mother’s Day, Mom wears her finest and has a smashing brunch and champagne somewhere special with the family. Cafe O’Lei at the Dunes in Kahului will present its annual all-you-can-eat prime-rib dinner buffet from 4 to 8:30 p.m. today with live music by Reiko Fukino. Cost is $30 per adult and $15 for kids ages 3 to 12. It’s also open for breakfast and lunch. Call 877-0073.

Ka’anapali Beach Hotel will run its Father’s Day brunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with music by Lahui. Some highlights are ahi poke, California salad, slow-roasted prime rib, pork laulau, salmon hash, leg of lamb, keiki station and desserts galore. Cost is $55 for adults and $26 for kids ages 6 to 12.
