Fork & Salad in Kihei to ‘Grow Some Good’

Kicking off during the Kihei Fourth Friday Town Party on Aug. 24 will be a promotion benefitting the Grow Some Good school garden programs on Maui. Launching it will be Fork & Salad in Azeka Mauka shopping center.

With the purchase of a buckwheat noodle salad that is full of garden-fresh goods in the form of radishes, bell peppers, julienne carrots and slices of avocado (with wasabi peas for added zing), Fork & Salad will donate 50 cents to help Grow Some Good fulfill its mission to cultivate healthier communities on island by supporting local agriculture and improving access to nutritious, affordable food.

Grow Some Good nonprofit also creates school gardens and provides educational garden classes in 11 Maui schools, serving over 4,000 students annually. Classes are scheduled during the school day, and are a key component of supporting learning in science, math, art and culture.

The buckwheat noodle salad fundraiser continue s through February 2019 at the Kihei location as well as in the new Kahului eatery. For more details, visit www.growsomegood.org.
