CELEBRATE THE MAJESTY OF HALEAKALA WITH MUSIC, DANCE AND A SHORT FILM
Spend the evening reveling in the sheer beauty and cultural significance of Maui’s treasured Haleakala National Park (the only national park on island). The celebration includes a dance performance by Halau Hula Wehena O Ke Ao, songs from much-loved George Kahumoku, Jr. and the premiere of short film “Haleakala — A Rare and Sacred Landscape” by filmmaker Steve Bumgardner. Just prior to screening the film, Bumgardner and park officials will discuss what makes Haleakala so unique and the importance of preserving it. There is no charge and admission is on a first-come, first served basis. For more information, visit www.mauiarts.org.
