ERIC GILLIOM ONE-MAN ‘WHITE HAWAIIAN’ SHOW
Actor/musician Eric Gilliom stars in an original one-man theatrical show, co-created by writer/director Brian Kohne at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday at MACC’s McCoy Studio Theater. This one-man show, titled “White Hawaiian” represents the first collaboration between the pair since “Get A Job,” an award-winning comedy produced entirely on Maui in 2010. Gilliom explores identity through the lens of Hawaiian history, contemporary culture, and family. Tickets: $25, $35 (plus applicable fees; 10 percent discount for MACC members)
SWING AND SOUL DANCE PARTY
A Swing and Soul Dance Party with Louise Lambert and Ron Metoyer’s Blues Rock and Soul Review will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. at Gig’s Place Maui in Kihei. PINT NIGHT EVENT BENEFITS BIRDS
Maui Brewing Co. will host “Pint Night for the Birds,” a benefit for Maui Forest Bird Recovery Project, from 6 to 10 p.m. at its brewpub at 4405 Honoapiilani Highway in Kahana Gateway Shopping Center. Half the pub profits from house beers sold will go toward protecting native birds on Maui. Customers can enjoy local beers while helping endangered species. Maui Forest Bird Recovery Project is dedicated to the conservation and research of rare and endangered bird species on Maui like the kiwikiu, or Maui parrotbill, a bird found nowhere else in the world.
‘MATILDA’ OPENS AT IAO THEATER
Maui OnStage presents the Maui premier of “Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical.” Music and lyrics by Tim Minchin, book by Dennis Kelly, directed by Jennifer Rose, choreographed by Camille Romero, and under the musical direction of Robert E. Wills. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 29 through Dec. 14; 2 p.m. Saturdays, Dec. 7 and 14; 3 p.m. Sundays, Dec. 1 and 8 and 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15 at the Historic Iao Theater. DECEMBER JOY! THEME OF CHORAL CONCERT
Maui Choral Arts Association, under the direction of artistic director, Gary Leavitt, and pianist, Lotus Dancer, will perform old favorites and new holiday choral music at 3 p.m. in MACC’s Castle Theater. The chorus of nearly 100 singers will help start the holiday season with song. Tickets: $30/adults, $15/students w/ID & keiki 18 and under (plus applicable fees).
UPCOUNTRY SUNDAYS BENEFITS MANAO RADIO
Mana’o Radio presents Upcountry Sundays from 2-5 p.m. at Casanova in Makawao. Entertainers include guitarist and singer Benny Uyetake; Drew Martin performing original folk, slack key and blues; and Steve Sargenti, a singer-songwriter performing original music. $10 at the door goes entirely to benefit Mana’o Radio.

KRISHNA DAS AND RAM DASS PROGRAM
Krishna Das and Ram Dass combine their long-standing popular annual Thanksgiving satsang and kirtan programs into one big special evening at 7 p.m. Layering traditional Kirtan with instantly accessible melodies and modern instrumentation, Krishna Das has been called yoga’s “rock star.” He will be accompanied by his full band. A special appearance by the iconic cultural figure Ram Dass is expected. Attendees are encouraged to bring organic canned/boxed food donations for the Maui Food Bank for drop off at the MACC gate dispensaries. ROCK HENDRICKS PLAYS AT THE SHOPS
The Shops at Wailea welcomes award-winning saxophonist Rock Hendricks to Jazz at The Shops from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Hendricks has performed and recorded with legends including The Funkadelics, Michael Buble, The Temptations, Bobby Womack, Bonnie Raitt and Sammy Hagar, among others.
