FIRST FRIDAY IN HISTORIC WAILUKU

Wailuku First Friday presents “Wailuku Kalikimaka” from 6 to 9 p.m. on Market Street. Enjoy live music and entertainment, art, local shopping, and a variety of food and drink. Ikaika Texeira & Kawika Apo will be on the Maui Thing Stage from 6-7:15 p.m. Kalani Pe’a will perform from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Nuff Sedd will perform at the Banyan Tree Stage from 6 to 9 p.m. Check out the soft opening of Wailuku’s newest restaurant, 62 MarcKet at 62 North Market Street.

MATILDA THE MUSICAL CONTINUES AT IAO

Maui OnStage continues “Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical.” Music and lyrics by Tim Minchin, book by Dennis Kelly, directed by Jennifer Rose, choreographed by Camille Romero, and under the musical direction of Robert E. Wills. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, through Dec. 14; 2 p.m. Saturdays, Dec. 7 and 14; 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8 and 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15 at the Historic Iao Theater. SONGWRITERS FESTIVAL AT MACC

Miranda Lambert headlines the fifth annual Maui Songwriters Festival at the MACC’s Yokouchi Pavilion and A&B Amphitheater on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Gates open at 4:30. Tickets are $49, $69, $89, $129, plus a limited number of $159 Gold Circle seats (plus applicable fees). Tickets at to www.mauiarts.org.

PUKALANI CHRISTMAS FAIR AND CART PARADE

Pukalani Christmas Fair and Electric Golf Cart Parade, 3-7 p.m. at the Pukalani Country Club in Pukalani. Food and craft vendors, specialty beverages, cookie and ugly sweater contests, a visit from Santa, and at 6 p.m., the decorated golf cart parade. Bring a blanket or chair and don’t forget a sweater. Admission $2 and under 12 are free.

ANNUAL DELAWARE DAY CELEBRATION ON MAUI

The annual Delaware Day Celebration on Maui will start at 2 p.m. at Beach Bums BBQ & Grill, 300 Maalaea Road , at the Maalaea Harbor in Wailuku. All First Staters who are visiting Maui, or who were born in Delaware, have lived, worked, went to school in the First State are invited to attend. STAGED READING OF TWO CHRISTMAS TALES

Maui OnStage’s ONO! (One Night Only) series returns with a staged reading of “The Santaland Diaries” and “Season’s Greetings” by David Sedaris. This reading contains mature content and may not be appropriate for all audiences. The performance is at 6:30 p.m. at the Historic Iao Theater in Wailuku. NA MELE O MAUI SONG AND ART COMPETITION
