This true story follows the life of Bart Millard, lead singer of the Christian band MercyMe, who loses his father to cancer and inspires him to write the mega-hit song, “I Can Only Imagine.” Starring J. Michael Finley, Madeline Carroll and Dennis Quaid.

Banished dogs try to help a 12-year-old boy find his be-loved pet on an island that’s a garbage dump. Starring Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton and Bill Murray.

A disabled Vietnam vet rediscovers the Hawaiian warrior within to protect his family, defend their land and clear his father’s name. Starring Moronai Kanekoa, Kristina Anapau and Sonya Balmores.

“LOVE, SIMON” PG-13, 1:50. Drama. Maui Mall Megaplex.

Everyone deserves a great love story, but for 17-year-old Simon Spier, it’s a little more complicated. He hasn’t told his family or friends that he’s gay, and he doesn’t know the identity of the anonymous classmate that he’s fallen for online. Resolving both issues proves hilarious, terrifying and life-changing. Starring Nick Robinson, Katherine Langford and Josh Duhamel.
