Not only did the Maui chefs travel to San Francisco, San Jose, Los Angeles and Long Beach to promote our island, but top chefs from the Golden State will appear here.

They include Chefs Richie Nakano of smokin’ hot Hapa Ramen in San Francisco; Oscar Torres of the acclaimed Acabar in L.A. and Seakyeong Kim of Charlie Palmer’s Bloomingdales South Coast Plaza in Orange County.

You may meet California’s finest at two upcoming events next month. The first is a Chefs Collaboration Dinner from 6 to 9 p.m. April 2 at Maui Culinary Academy at UH Maui College in Kahului for $89 per person; and the second is at Grand Taste at AgFest from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. April 4 at Maui Tropical Plantation in Waikapu.
