Entertainment set for Imua benefit

Imua Family Services will present Carnival de Venice Mascheranda Grand Ball as its annual fundraiser March 30 at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa in Kaanapali.

This year’s event will take its attendees, in spirit, to Venice with the Monarchy Ballroom transformed into an elegant, candlelit palace with food and drink at the Hearts and Dreams Cocktail reception, followed by the Legacy Awards and live entertainment. Prizes for the best mask and costume will be awarded.

Headliner Denee Benton is an American actor and singer best known for a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical as Natasha Rostova in “Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812” on Broadway with Josh Groban in 2016.

She currently is performing on Broadway in “Hamilton” as Eliza Hamilton. Her first break was being cast as Nabulungi in the U.S. national tour of “The Book of Mormon.” She is best known on television for her role on the the Lifetime series, “UnREAL.”

Hawaii Opera Theatre is a Honolulu-based opera company among the largest performing arts organization in the state.
