Maui writers to staff authors table

Maui Writers Ink will present books for both children and adults at its Local Authors Table at Lahaina’s Second Friday event Nov. 8 beginning at 5 p.m. at Campbell Park.

Malia Bohlin will be signing and selling “Left at Hiva Oa,” an adventure story set on the high seas, and based on the true life tale of her father, who was forced to sail the Pacific Ocean single-handed.

Nansy Phleger will sign and sell her children’s book, “Li Chou and the Dragons’ Promise.” It is about a little boy and a monster set in northern China.

Maui Writers Ink will also have its two anthologies, “Short Stories and Poems” and “Supernatural Tales,” available for sale, as well as at the Visitors Center at the Old Lahaina Courthouse, and the Maui Friends of the Library Bookstores at The Wharf Cinema Center in Lahaina and Queen Ka’ahumanu Center in Kahului.
