** CAMP KALUANUI (Grades 1-5) Week 2: will be from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Thursday & Friday. Camp Kaluanui offers a diverse visual arts curriculum geared to exercise imaginations, keep the body active, and develop individual self-expression and creativity-while having fun at the same time! Campers paint, design, construct, sculpt, draw, and play their way through exciting artistic activities each day. Each day offers hands-on projects and a variety of art materials to explore!

** ‘Ukeke workshop with Lance Genson Mahi La Pierre will be from noon to 4 p.m. Jan 4. Make your very own ‘ukeke in this hands-on workshop! Using bamboo, students will fashion the Hawaiian musical bow, the ‘ukeke (approximately 20 inches length).

• 11th annual Cooper Family Dance workshop will be from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Alexander Academy, 870 Haliimaile Road, Haliimaile. The workshop will include three sections (length is approx) starting with 1.5 hour Jazz (includes warmup), 1 hour of Contemporary & 1 hour of Hip Hop. The Contemporary and Hip Hop are choreography only. Cost is $30 for first class, $45 for the whole night (Academy students and early registration get a 10 percent discount). • Business workshop with David Daly titled “The ABCs of a Business Plan” will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at Maui County Business Resource Center in the Maui Mall, Suite B-9, 70 E. Kaahumanu Ave., Kahului. Maui Economic Opportunity Business Development Center’s Core Four Business Planning is a 36-hour course on how to write a business plan while providing the information you need to know in order to start, operate and grow your business. This workshop is a one hour introductory workshop which will provide you with a better understanding of the course outline for Core Four Business Planning.
