Jurors named for Hui No‘eau annual juried art exhibition
Kelly Sueda has been named juror for Hui No’eau Visual Arts Center’s annual Juried Exhibition Jan. 17 through Feb. 21.
The free exhibition will be will be on display in the Hui No’eau Main Gallery daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m at 2841 Baldwin Ave. in Makawao. An opening reception is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m.
Receiving Day is set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 7. The prospectus and entry forms are available online at huinoeau.com/exhibitions.
The Juried Exhibition provides the community with an opportunity to view current work of local artists in all media. Ceramics, printmaking, sculpture, photography, painting, drawing, jewelry, digital media, fiber, wood, mixed media and all other artistic explorations created within the past two years are welcome.
Sueda is an artist and a fine art consultant. He attended University of San Francisco at the Academy of Art College where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts. After graduating, he became a full-time artist, living in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Colorado, and now resides in Honolulu.
With 23 years of experience selling and buying artwork for both private and corporate clients, Sueda currently serves on the boards of the Honolulu Museum of Art, the Honolulu Biennial Foundation, Kapiolani Hospital Foundation, the Hawaii State Junior Golf Association, and the Association of Unit Owners of Park Lane Hawaii.

Hui No’eau is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, non-degree granting, community-based, visual arts education organization offering open access to quality visual arts instruction by professional teaching artists and free arts opportunities through exhibitions, lecture series and more.
