Hawaii labor laws topic of seminar

The Maui Chamber of Commerce is holding a seminar on labor laws from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 16 in the Elleair Rainbow room at the Maui Beach Hotel.

The seminar, presented by Torkildson, Katz, Moore, Hetherington & Harris, a law firm specializing Hawaii in labor laws, is open to all businesses in Maui County.

Discounts are available for members of the Maui Chamber of Commerce and the Society for Human Resource Management and for early registration. Members who register before 5 p.m. Oct. 3 pay $325, nonmembers pay $425.

After Oct. 3, members pay $365 and the price for nonmembers is $445.

Attendees must pay before the event and requests for refunds must be made before 5 p.m. Oct. 10.

Participants will receive continental breakfast, lunch, a hard copy of the 2014-15 Chamber Desk Manual and access to the online Chamber Desk Manual.
