HMSA effort benefits Maui Food Bank
Hawaii Medical Service Association employees’ annual four-week holiday food drive wrapped up Nov. 21 with a total donation to the Maui Food Bank of $125 and 102 pounds of food, according to an announcement.
Bake sales, breakfast buffets and friendly competition drove this year’s donations.
Employees statewide were organized into eight teams, each with team captains who were responsible for collecting canned goods and monetary donations, making weekly drop-offs and encouraging their teammates to get involved and help fight hunger.
Donations made by employees across Hawaii went to their respective food banks.
