Monsanto’s Maui employees contribute to annual toy drive
Monsanto’s Maui employees contributed to The Friends of the Children’s Justice Center of Maui’s recent toy drive.
In one week, Monsanto’s employees collected over 100 donated toys with a total value of over $1,500 for children of all ages including books, games, sporting equipment, dolls, trucks, tea sets, play jewelry, stuffed animals, musical instruments and more.
This was Monsanto’s second toy drive for this organization and was coordinated by members of Monsanto’s community outreach committee – Nema Rabino, Aurora Esmaquel, Ernesto Galinato and Vivian Miguel.
“For over two decades, this important nonprofit organization has been providing assistance to abused and neglected children in Maui County and promoting prevention of child abuse and neglect,” said Carol Reimann, community affairs manager for Monsanto on Maui. “Their work in our community is truly a gift of love and one that will keep on giving for years to come.”
“Our organization could not have made this toy drive a success without companies like Monsanto offering their support,” said Paul Tonnessen, executive director for the Friends of the Children’s Justice Center of Maui.
