Congressional art competition open to high school students

Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard has announced that she is accepting submissions from Hawaii high school artists in the 2nd Congressional District for the 2015 Congressional Art Competition, hosted by the U.S. House of Representatives.

Gabbard has hosted the Kaha Ki’i Art Competition for Hawaii’s 2nd Congressional District, which includes Maui County, since 2013. Winning pieces will be on display for one year at the U.S. Capitol and in Gabbard’s Washington and Hawaii offices for visitors to enjoy.

The deadline for submissions is Feb. 13. Semifinalists will be announced Feb. 17. Gabbard will announce the winning pieces at an awards ceremony March 28 at the Hawaii State Capitol.
