UH Maui Fit’s fall semester begins Monday
UH Maui Fit, the fitness center at the University of Hawaii Maui College, is reopening Monday for the fall semester with a schedule of nearly 30 fitness classes and extended open gym hours.
The fall class schedule includes RIPPED, freestyle core training, Zumba, yoga, Muay Thai Novice, Boot Camp, pilates, Hit Fit and self-defense. Classes are offered from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday; 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday; and from 7 to 9 a.m. Saturday.
Open gym sessions, which allow for the use of center equipment including weights and a treadmill, run from 7 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, except during yoga and pilates classes.
Membership, which allows unlimited access to fitness classes and open gym sessions for the semester, is $90 for the public, $55 for UH-MC students and $75 for UH-MC faculty and staff, seniors age 55 and older and veterans or military members. The semester runs through Dec. 19.
Monthly membership of $30 is also available.
Nonmembers can attend a class by purchasing a drop-in pass for $5 for a 60-minute class and $7 for a 90-minute class.
The center is on the first floor of the Pilina Building on campus.
