33rd annual St. John’s Kula Festival offers day of family fun on Saturday

The 33rd annual St. John’s Kula Festival will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 8992 Kula Highway, across from Keokea Park.

Food offerings will include Portuguese bean soup, waffles with fresh Kula strawberries, vegan curry, grilled hamburgers made with Maui Cattle Co. beef, desserts, cold drinks and coffee.

There will be fresh Kula produce, plants and cut flowers, homemade baked goods, a gift shop, a wide variety of crafters, children’s games including face painting, a silent auction and live entertainment all day.

There will also be a quilt show again this year, which is co-sponsored by the Maui Quilters Guild, and a few surprise activities as well.

Admission is $1 and children under 10 years of age will be admitted free.
