4-H girls sew and crochet caps for cancer patients

Members of the GG’s 4-H Club, along with friend Sandra Martin, sewed and crocheted over 120 cancer caps for children undergoing cancer treatment at Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women & Children, Hawaii’s only Children’s Miracle Network hospital.

Volunteers included Aimee Nathan, Alexandria Tyau, Kiarra Burkitt, Emi Sakumoto and Tiana Sakumoto. The girls met multiple times over several months to complete the caps, and shipped the caps to Amanda Price at Kapi’olani Health Foundation.

Members of Grace Bible Church in Kahului donated all the material, and Barbara Huntley at Sew Special at the Queen Ka’ahumanu Center donated the use of sewing machines.
