Wong heads small business center office
Wayne Wong has been named center director for the Maui office of the Small Business Development Center Network.
The mission of the network, a program of the University of Hawaii-Hilo funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration, is to drive the economic well-being of Hawaii by addressing the needs of business.
As the new center director for Maui, Wong’s role will include serving both existing and aspiring business owners with no cost, confidential, one-on-one, business advising services, training workshops, as well as market research services provided by the Hawaii Business Research Library, a specialty center of the Hawaii network.
Wong holds a master’s of business administration in marketing from the University of Puget Sound and a bachelor of science degree from the University of Washington.
