Enrollment open for Rotary Youth leadership program

The Rotary Clubs of Maui announce open enrollment for the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, a leadership program for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors of Maui County, including students from Molokai and Lanai. Open enrollment will close on Wednesday.

The RYLA Camp is a three-day overnight retreat at Camp Keanae on Hana Highway, starting the afternoon of Feb. 8 and continuing through Feb. 10.

While at the retreat, students will build communication and problem-solving skills; discover strategies for becoming a dynamic leader at school or in the community; learn from community leaders, inspirational speakers and peer mentors; unlock potential to turn motivation into action; have fun and form lasting friendships.

Students will be bused from multiple locations: University Hawaii Maui College, Maalaea and Lahaina. All students are sponsored by their local Rotary Clubs on Maui and students from off Maui island will receive travel vouchers to cover their costs.
