Handmade fresh or nonperishable lei may be ordered for the graduation and wedding season.

Ladies of ‘Ahahui Ka’ahumanu Wailuku Chapter IV are hosting a fundraiser featuring ti-leaf garlands simulating maile lei at $20 each, and nonperishable lei at two for $25. Lei-makers create the latter with kukui nuts and ribbon in the customer’s choice of hues, to match a graduating student’s high school colors, such as maroon and blue for Baldwin; blue and white for Kamehameha; red and white for Lahainaluna, etc.

Proceeds benefit the ‘Ahahui Ka’ahumanu annual post-high school scholarship awards program. For orders or information, contact Pualani Barros at 359-1335 or ohanalomi@gmail.com.
