Business mentoring and education group hosts social and open house

Maui SCORE Chapter, a source of free business mentoring and education, will host its Community Partners Social from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. and a Small Business Open House from 4:30 to 6:30 Thursday at the Maui County Business Resource Center in the Maui Mall, 70 E. Kaahumanu Ave., Suite B-9 in Kahului.

“We hope to connect with the leadership of our community partners and learn how we can assist them in meeting their goals for 2020,” said Anna Ribucan, president of the Maui SCORE Chapter.

For the Small Business Open House, “We want small business owners and those thinking about starting a business to come and meet the team and learn about the many resources available to new and established businesses here on Maui,” she said.

SCORE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals through education and mentorship. The Maui SCORE Chapter was chartered in 2017.

SCORE Mentors include Ribucan, Richard Kehoe, Karen Arakawa, Gerry Smith, Nico Fisher, David Daly, Richard “Buddy” Nichols, Ozan Karacagil, David Fisher, Monica Marrow, Ron Harris and Jennifer Drout.

Mentors are available most Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome.
