Maui AIDS Foundation to host Mardi Gras Maui

Maui AIDS Foundation will present Mardi Gras Maui at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Waikapu Ballroom of the King Kamehameha Golf Club in Wailuku.

“We are thrilled to be back at King Kamehameha Golf Club for our biggest event ever,” said Maui AIDS Foundation Executive Director Chasity Cadaoas. “This year, we will have the 12-piece jazz band Soul Kitchen, event entertainment by Dazzle Maui, a drag show by ManCandy Productions, psychic readings by Pam Sears, and turntable throwdowns by DJs Pash_Sean and Kurt. Come on out for a good time, all for a good cause.”

Tickets are on sale at www.mauiaids.org and at Maui AIDS Foundation, 1935 Main St., Suite 101, Wailuku. VIP tickets for the King’s Feast ($150) include buffet dinner, prime entertainment, live and silent auctions, mask contest, and admission to the DJ Afterparty. Tickets to the afterparty (9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.) are available for $20.

This is a 21-and-older event. It is a benefit for Maui AIDS Foundation, which provides services for individuals living with HIV/AIDS, along with outreach, screening, testing and education for local communities at risk for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections.

People interested in sponsoring the event or donating items for the silent auction may contact Cory Hall at (808) 242-4900. To volunteer for the event, contact events@mauiaids.org.
