Online activity for West Maui youth

The West Maui community is launching a Lahaina Strong Keiki Kafe on Facebook. Jen Mather is the volunteer Kafe coordinator.

“Our keiki are in unchartered waters, and I think it’s important for them to use the writing, researching, and creative skills they’ve been blessed with through the safest means available to us: the internet,” said Mather.

To kick off the opening of the Keiki Kafe Facebook page, students are challenged to answer this question in 100 words of less: What makes Lahaina Strong?

Finalists will be selected and published in the Lahaina News. The deadline to submit is April 30. Prizes will be awarded.

Submissions can be sent to wearelahaina@gmail.com or the Lahaina Strong Keiki Kafe page at Facebook.com.
