Club maintains oak trash barrels

Suzanne Medcalf and Brian Beach of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunrise apply protective sealer to oak barrel trash cans on Front Street, Lanaina.

The oak barrel trash receptacles on Front Street received their regular coating of a protective sealer from the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunrise recently.

These trash barrels have been on Front Street since the early 1990s and it is only through the work of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunrise that they have survived for more than 20 years.

During the month of July, the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunrise held a school supply drive in addition to the trash barrel project.

The club meets for breakfast every Tuesday at 7:00 am at the Pioneer Inn. The $14 fee includes breakfast. Visitors and potential new members are welcome.
