Maui County’s Rotary clubs are now accepting applications for the annual Hawaii Rotary Youth Foundation scholarship.

There are 10 Rotary clubs in Maui County and each will select a deserving high school student to receive the $5,000 scholarship award.

The deadline to apply is Feb. 1.

The award is nontransferable and can only be used for the first year of school. Funds are mailed directly to the school of choice and cannot be deferred for future use.

HRYF is a nonprofit charitable corporation that provides scholarships for Hawaii youth so they can further their education after high school.

Applications are available at high school counseling offices or by contacting HRYF Maui Trustee Joanne Laird at mamalrd01@gmail.com.
