MEO welcomes three new board members

Maui Economic Opportunity added three new members to its 21-member board of directors during a virtual board meeting last month.

The new directors are Frank De Rego Jr., Misty Lacio and Desiree Ting.

De Rego is the director of business development projects at the Maui Economic Development Board. He will take the Maui Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce seat on the MEO board. De Rego is the current president of the Maui Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce and has served on the Maui Police, Cost of Government and Charter commissions.

Lacio joins the MEO Board of Directors as the MEO Head Start Policy Council representative. She is the vice chairperson of the council and representative of the MEO Head Start Makawao B site.

Ting will represent Central Pacific Bank on the board. She is assistant vice president and wealth adviser at the bank.

MEO has a tripartite board with members equally representing the people served, the private sector and government entities.
