Pot dispensary to hold open house

The Maui News – Maui Grown Therapies will hold an open house and a job fair this week to answer questions and recruit employees for the company’s production center and dispensary.

The open house will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Guests must be 21 or older. Maui Grown Therapies held open houses in April but put the program on hold during improvements to its Maui Lani Village Center dispensary in May.

“We are devoting our last few weeks before opening to hosting the community and answering questions for those who are curious about cannabis therapy,” said Teri Freitas Gorman, Maui Grown Therapies’ director of community relations and patient affairs.

Additional open houses are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 17 and 24.

Maui Grown Therapies also will host a job fair from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday in the dispensary’s education and wellness room. The company is recruiting qualified employees to fill several positions at its Upcountry production center and Maui Lani dispensary.
