Sewer pipe installations will prompt alternating lane closures in both directions of Waiehu Beach Road at the intersections with Nukuwai Place this week, according to the state Department of Transportation.

Work will be done from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. today through Friday.

The DOT also announced the following work and lane closures for Maui County roadways:

* The right lane of southbound Honoapiilani Highway will be closed near the Napilihau Street intersection from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. today through Friday for road repairs.

* Road maintenance will cause alternating lane closures in both directions of Hana Highway between the Garden of Eden Arboretum and Keanae Road from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. today through Friday.
