State Department of Education Superintendent Christina Kishimoto will join Board of Education members for a community meeting Friday in Pomaikai Elementary School’s library in Kahului.

The event scheduled for 4 to 5:30 p.m. is an opportunity for residents to get to know the new superintendent, share views on public education and discuss the community’s role in supporting student achievement.
